It was so nice talking with everyone about their student’s achievements so far this year. I am very proud of everyone! This coming week we will be focusing on nonfiction text features during comprehension time and continuing to strengthen students understanding of numbers and number sense during math time!
What a busy week! We learned all about short o words this week, observed our growing grass (in science), practiced counting with our counting jars and enjoyed reading big books! We have earned some parties for this up coming week! We had a Go Noodle party this afternoon!
Monday ~ Gum Party (your student may bring gum to enjoy during read to self time)
Monday ~ Music Party (we will enjoy listening to quiet music during writing time)
Tuesday ~ Mix Match Clothes Party (send them looking silly!)
Wednesday ~ Pajama Party
Enjoy your wonderful weekend!

First Grade Families,
Welcome to Room 125! I am so excited to head back to school and start building relationships with your children. I can’t wait to meet you at Open House on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 5-6:30! Stop in, say hi, drop off supplies and have some hot dogs (donated from our business partners Fluer Drive Hy Vee)!
This is the first time I have ever blogged. Please let me know if you are having trouble with the site, and I will ask my tech savy friends for some help!
I’m looking forward to learning, teaching and making many memories with your child!
